Cast aluminum, aluminum wire, epoxy primer, polyester filler, one-component acrylic putty, urethane primer, polyester paint, acrylic polyurethane matte clear-coat

Piano: 150 x 152.4 x 132.7 cm (59 1/16 x 60 x 52 1/4 in.) Bench: 72.4 x 70 x 56 cm (28 1/2 x 27 9/16 x 22 1/16 in.) Overall dimensions: 132 x 155 x 249 cm (51 15/16 x 61 x 98 1/16 in.)

A full-size piano and stool, in a colour and texture reminiscent of marshmallow, twisted in every way, just as easily as the candy in question. The stuff of dreams made real, Untitled casts us into a hallucinatory dimension.

Urs Fischer is interested in everyday objects in our environment. Organic and experimental, his production method explores the processes of construction and destruction (including melting). A curious all-rounder, Fischer uses multiple materials in his (sur)realist works, always with the aim of discovering and confronting new aspects of reality by presenting the viewer with contrasts and juxtapositions.

Part of the Pinault Collection, this work was first presented at the Palazzo Grassi at the "Le Monde vous appartient" (“The World Belongs to You”) exhibition (2011-2012).
