The works on display referred to spectacular entertainment practices - those of the circus by Sigmar Polke, carnival by Claire Tabouret, the popular festival by Martial Raysse, or even cartoon by Damien Hirst with his Mickey (The Collector).

The entertainment dimension has never left the insightful attention of artists who, behind the happy images of moments of shared pleasure, always remember the intensity of things in life. This is the reason why these works forming the exhibition "Pleurs de joie" (Tears of Joy) find their place so well in a building which was a place of worship and which evokes by its history the "last ends".
