Baby in Stroller is one of Duane Hanson's many hyper-realistic sculptures. It exudes a sense of peacefulness and innocence typical of his work.

Hanson's work recalls the political and social upheavals that shook the United States in the 1960s. He sought to be the voice of working-class America by putting the people who make up that society at the centre of his work, from street-sweepers to women shopping, and transforming them into works of art. The viewer is astounded by how realistic these life-size resin figures look.

Baby in Stroller was presented for the first time at the exhibition "Debout !" ("Stand Up!") in 2018 at the Couvent des Jacobins in Rennes.
