My Eden's Pool (2022)" is a painting from the 'Yellow Paintings' series, where each piece depicts scenes before or after carnival. The artist states: "This scene depicts a detail: a feminine Christ diving into a pool of blood. Initially, this painting was supposed to be a reclining woman. But the body didn't work, and a reclining woman was too 'obvious.' The Christ motif often appears in my painting due to the crucifix at my grandmother's house, but also because of the plasticity of Christ's body, constantly transformed throughout art history, and also for the violence of the crucifixion scene.

The body became a Christ with a clown face, as if too made up before going out; it was meant to be nailed to the wall. It has a feminine body; it's a Christ with a face painted like a clown, plunging into a small bath of blood. He/she smiles, mouth open like a scream, covering their face behind a fabric, to hide their ugliness? Their beauty? Seductive, he/she could cry and hide behind it so that their tears aren't seen. On the right, we see a floating face that was supposed to be a clown entering the apartment. Its head is flying and could be a form of spirit, holy or evil. It comes as a visitor, outraged by what it sees; it seems scared itself, a clown ghost taking fright. I wanted to create a scene whose interpretation would be extremely violent, contrasted with great softness, almost maternal. I almost wanted to be able to laugh at this scene. A female Christ, iconic, legs as if consumed in the bath, both hands nailed to the wall, the palm like a blood tap. And this clownish, frightening face, mocking the viewer, as if taking pleasure in being watched while suffering."
